The Factory is a production house that specialises in producing high quality theatre and film as well as providing comprehensive artist promotion. Established in 2011 by Kate Warren, The Factory brings together a team of experienced and passionate creatives who are dedicated to achieving consistently high production values in all areas of production. six foot something productions

Six Foot Something Productions is an Adelaide music theatre company dedicated to producing contemporary ensemble musicals and providing opportunities for local performers, artists and production personnel to develop their craft. In 2007 the company produced an award-winning production of Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years and has since produced an award-nominated production of William Finn's Elegies: A Song Cycle (a collaboration with SINGular Productions). 


director / production designer - david lampard

David’s professional theatre credits include work as a performer, director and production designer (sets and costumes). As a director David has been nominated for two Adelaide Critic’s Circle Awards, been awarded two Adelaide Oscarts and a Messenger Light Year Award. His productions have received many more awards and nominations. He is the co-founder of Six Foot Something productions, directing and designing The Last Five Years and Elegies: A Song Cycle (a co-production with SINGular Productions). He also directed It’s A Dad Thing for SINGular Productions, Mother, Wife and the Complicated Life for Amity Dry, was assistant director for State Opera South Australia’s new production of The Flying Dutchman (directed by Chris Drummond) and directed and designed the G&S Society’s Pro-Am version of Jesus Christ Superstar. As a performer, David’s professional credits include The Beauty Spot, A Wild Evening With Andrew Lippa and Take Flight for the Adelaide Cabaret Festival and South Pacific for Seabiscuit Productions. He is the co-creator, co-writer, director, designer and one half of the duo Rock Chick & Science Geek (he’s the Geek!). He also performs as part of the State Opera Chorus. David is perhaps best known as the presenter of the children’s television program Y?. Other television credits include Nexus (ABC Asia-Pacific), Behind The News and AM Adelaide.

David also has a long history with amateur theatre in South Australia, most frequently working with the G&S Society – as a director, production designer and performer. Highlights include two seasons of the multi-award winning Les Miserables (director and set design), Iolanthe (director and production design), The Mikado (Ko Ko and production design) and Into The Woods (Narrator and production design).


music director - peter johns 

Peter is an accomplished music director, musician and accompanist. As musical director, Peter first worked on Northern Light Theatre Company’s Once Upon a Mattress. He has since musically directed A Fractured G & S Trilogy, Scrooge, Grease, Singin’ in the Rain, The Witches of Eastwick, The Sound of Music, Monty Python’s Spamalot, Oliver! and Beauty and the Beast for NLTC. Other musical director credits include the multi-award winning Seussical, Urinetown the Musical (Hills Musical Company), Avenue Q (Matt Byrne Media) and Sweeney Todd (Walford Anglican School for Girls). Peter has also played keyboards for numerous shows, conducted City of Angels (NLTC) and was the associate conductor on the Adelaide premiere of RENT (Catchy Title Productions).

When he is not conducting, Peter works backstage in the role of stage manager. Peter is also actively involved with the 24 Hour Show, serving as co-ordinating musical director and producer on the last two productions, Little of Shop of Horrors and Chicago

In 2010, Peter founded his own production company, Irregular Productions, and successfully staged his first production, Songs for a New World in 2011. This year Irregular Productions will collaborate with The Factory to produce the next 24 Hour Show, scheduled for June 2012.

Peter regularly accompanies a number of choirs and soloists from around South Australia. He has worked as accompanist to the Australian Youth Choir for the last ten years, traveling with them to the USA, UK and Europe.
